AFFECTED MODELS: SR, SRA AND AR SERIES HARVESTERS

If net dispenser motor leakage is noted, it is recommended that a case drain hose be added during repair or replacement of the motor. A case drain should effectively prevent a repeated failure. The necessary fittings and hose can be installed with the net dispenser motor installed.

Call Bucyrus Equipment Company Inc. (800-330-0857) to obtain the necessary fittings and hose to perform this upgrade.

1.  Remove the plug from the end cap (opposite the shaft end) from the dispenser motor. Install a straight-thread elbow connector into the motor. The O-ring threads must be 7/16-20 (No. 4) and the JIC threads must be 9/16-18 (No. 6). See Figure 1.

2.  Next, remove the No. 10 plug from the return manifold port shown in Figure 2. The manifold is located at the bottom of the control panel enclosure. Install a straight-thread O-ring-to-JIC connector into manifold. The O-ring threads must be 7/8-14 and the JIC threads must be 9/16-18.

3.  The case drain hose (part No. 420NCDH80) must have No. 6 female JIC fittings on each end. Install the hose to the dispenser motor and to the return manifold. Make sure the hose is routed away from moving components. Fasten the hose as necessary to prevent damage from chafing or contacting moving parts.

Contact Bucyrus Equipment Company Inc. to obtain the necessary parts and fittings to perform this update.
