Field Day 2011 - April 28-29 - Duda's Cocoa Ranch, Viera

Registration for the 2011 FSGC Field Day is officially open, and it promises to be a great conference!
 
This year's Seminar Topics include:
 
·         How to Get Paid!  Attorney Ed Morrell shares information on what's legal and available to help you deal most effectively with outstanding accounts.
·         Cold Weather Turf Care for Warm Season Grasses: Dr. Bryan Unruh recaps research on the effects of cold temperatures on warm season turfgrasses and management and recovery strategies.
·         Sod Disease Review and Update: Dr. Phil Harmon shares his research on the most common diseases of sod, including take all root rot.
·         Assessing Attitudes About Turfgrass: The FSGC is partnering with the UF/IFAS Center for Public Issues Education to conduct a survey of UF Extension personnel, Florida Yards & Neighborhoods Coordinators and Master Gardeners to find out what they're hearing from the groups they work with about turfgrass and lawns.  Do you know what your customers are saying?  
 
The Field Day Reception & Dinner will be held on Thursday evening, April 28 at the beautiful Duran Golf Club.
 
The On-farm Field Day is set for Friday, April 29 at Duda's Cocoa Ranch and will feature vendor displays, equipment demonstrations, and a great barbeque lunch on-site, courtesy of Everglades Farm Equipment.  Don't miss this great chance to network, visit with friends and keep up with the latest in the industry.

We are back from our Midwinter Conference in sunny Florida.  It's so hard to get back to the grind here in Kansas, it is currently 4 degrees today.  A bit of a shock coming from 70-80 degree weather.  We were lucky enough to miss the big blizzard of 2011, our families and friends were a bit jealous of us when we sent picture messages of the resort while they were sending pictures of snow drifts and white-outs... how did we manage to get so lucky to leave right before the storm hit and then return when it was over?? 

We will be at the Turfgrass Producers International Midwinter Conference in Orlando, Florida the week of January 31st - February 4th, 2011.  If you plan on attending please come visit our booth and say hello!  You can also come to these events as well as we will be there!
